ABOUT US

Forged in Battle (FIBa), LLC was established in October 2023 by United States Army Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Cleola M. Davis as a market management and distribution apparatus for her memoir, Forged in Battle: African American Officers Serving in the United States Army. The book was published by New Degree Press and released on September 1, 2022.
 

VISION: The advancement of all from one through unity, common purpose and excellence.

MISSION: To generate sustainable funding in support of FIBa(Facilitate, Inspire, Build, Advance) through the marketing and sale of the published works of Cleola M. Davis, as well as contributions from supporters. These funds will be used to:

• Facilitate – Provide financial support to upstart businesses by shaping conditions for success and enabling growth into scalable, commercial corporate enterprises that strengthen and build communities. Create opportunities for talented but under-resourced and unsourced entrepreneurs.

• Inspire – Cultivate new ideas by fostering a network of diverse thinkers who collaborate to develop innovative problem-solving methods through systemic strategies and shared platforms.

• Build – Establish institutions for success by reducing start-up barriers, including access to facilities, technical support, technology, and equipment, while delivering business mentorship and interoperable network-building opportunities.

• Advance – Strengthen and sustain communities through economic empowerment, recognizing that the success of one enterprise can generate revenue that reinvests in and uplifts the broader community.
